Privacy policy
Last updated: June 2026
This policy explains how LimeMoment handles personal data. We aim to collect only what we need, keep it safe and give you control. It is written to align with UK GDPR. We'll update it as the product grows, and a qualified reviewer checks material changes before they go live.
Who we are
LimeMoment is a product of Limelai Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16486216), with its registered office at 86-90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE. LimeMoment provides event pages where a host creates a moment and guests RSVP, leave memories and send gifts. For a host's own event data we act as a processor on the host's behalf. For our own account and billing data Limelai Limited is the controller.
What we collect
- Host account details (name, email) through our sign-in provider.
- Event content a host adds, such as text, images and settings.
- Guest responses, such as an RSVP, a message or a gift.
- Basic, privacy-respecting usage information to keep the service running.
Guests never need an account to RSVP. We ask for the least we can.
How we use it
- To run your moment and show guests what they need.
- To send transactional emails like RSVP confirmations and receipts.
- To take payments, contributions and donations through Stripe.
- To keep the platform secure and to meet legal obligations.
We never sell personal data or share it for third-party advertising, and we do not use host or guest content to train models.
Guest content and photos
Guests can add content to a moment, such as a message, a photo or a short video. This content is held for the host to review and, once approved, can appear publicly on the moment page. Before uploading a photo or a clip, the guest confirms that everyone pictured is happy for it to be shared. If you appear in something shared without your agreement, contact the host or email us and we'll help have it removed.
Where a moment offers an event assistant (a chatbot), the questions a guest asks are visible to the host, so they can improve the page. Guests are told this before they ask and are reminded not to share anything private. The same applies to anything a guest writes into a moment, like an RSVP message or a dedication: the host can see it.
Gifts, donations and the wall of givers
When you send a gift, chip in towards an experience or make a donation, we record it so the host can see it and thank you. Payments are handled by Stripe and we never see or store your card details. Any note you add is shared with the host, not shown publicly.
A moment may show a wall of givers, a public list of first names on the moment page. This is off by default. Your name only appears if you tick the box to be included when you give, and we record that choice, including the wording you agreed to and when. Only your first name appears. Your amount and any note never appear on the wall. If you change your mind, your receipt email has a link to take your name down yourself at any time. You can also ask the host or email privacy@limemoment.com. Removing your name from the wall does not affect the gift itself, which the host keeps as a record.
Guest feedback and where it's shown
After a moment, guests can rate the day and leave a few words on the recap page. By default this is private to the host. A guest chooses, box by box, where their words may be shown: on the public recap page, with invited guests only, or for the host to share more widely. They also choose whether to be named by their first name or shown anonymously. We record each choice with the wording agreed, its version and the time, and we log every later change, so there is always a clear record of what was agreed and when.
Every guest who leaves feedback gets a private link. From it they can change any of these choices, stop sharing, download a copy of their feedback or delete it entirely, at any time and with no account. Withdrawn feedback is never shown publicly again. A host can also take any feedback down from their dashboard.
Testimonials on the LimeMoment website
Consent a guest or host gives for their own event is never treated as consent for LimeMoment's own marketing. If we'd like to feature someone's words on the LimeMoment website, we ask them separately, after the event, and explain exactly where it may appear. We only publish once they've given that separate, explicit consent, which we store on its own, apart from their event feedback, with its version and time. Anyone featured can ask us to remove their testimonial at any time from a link we provide, or by emailing privacy@limemoment.com.
Retention
We keep event data for as long as the host needs it, with configurable retention and the ability to delete an event permanently. Some records, such as billing, are kept for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or to object. Hosts have self-service export and delete for their event data, a guest can remove their own reply from their personal link, and a guest who left feedback can review, change, download or delete it from their private feedback link. To make a request, email privacy@limemoment.com. We respond within one calendar month.
Sub-processors
We use a small set of trusted providers to run LimeMoment. See our sub-processors page for who they are, what they do and where they process data.
Cookies
We set no non-essential cookies until you consent. See the cookie policy for the detail, and use the Cookie settings link in the footer to change your choice at any time.
