Categories

Essential (always on)

These keep the service working, for example signing a host in and remembering your cookie choice. They cannot be turned off.

Analytics (off until you consent)

These help us understand what is useful so we can improve. We use Google Analytics, and none of it loads until you accept this category. Turn it off again any time and it stops.

LimeMoment Play also measures how it runs (joins, reconnects and how long answers take), and we count steps of our sign-up journey (a page viewed, a start button pressed, a moment created), without any cookie. It sets no cookie, reads none and stores nothing on your device, so it isn't part of this category and isn't listed below. See our privacy policy for what it records.

Maps (only when you ask)

A moment's page can show a map of the venue or of where guests are coming from. The map is provided by Google and loads only when you press the button to show it. Until then nothing from Google is loaded and Google sets no cookie. Once you choose to show it, Google's own terms and cookies apply to the map.

Marketing (off until you consent)

These would support marketing. None load until you accept them.

Cookies we set

  • lm_consent: remembers your cookie choice. Essential. Lasts one year.
  • Sign-in cookies: set by our authentication provider to keep a host signed in. Essential. Session based.
  • lm_org: remembers which organisation a signed-in host is working in. Essential. Lasts one year.
  • lm_unlock_…: remembers that you unlocked a password-protected moment. Essential. Lasts seven days.
  • lm_play_…: set when a guest joins a game in LimeMoment Play. It holds one random code and nothing else, so your place and score survive a reload or a switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data, and your own results link keeps working afterwards. Essential. Lasts one year.
  • _ga: set by Google Analytics to tell people apart. Analytics, loads only after you consent. Lasts up to two years.
  • _ga_*: set by Google Analytics to keep session state. Analytics, loads only after you consent. Lasts up to two years.

We don't set marketing cookies yet. If we add any, we'll list each one here with its purpose, category and lifetime, and it will load only after you consent.
